A New Beach

​CA state parks opened a new beach at San Gregorio Ranch. It is south of HMB and right before the San Gregorio turn. The view is beautiful and the stretch of beach is really nice too. So cool to have more access to nature! 

Berry Picking

​I missed Olallieberry season, so I had to settle for picking strawberries today. They had a lot of ripe ones deep in the field and they said they would be available until October. I’m excited to make something with them tomorrow. I ate a bunch already! 

Spontaneous Trip

​We both had a free Friday so we spontaneously packed up the car and went to Sacramento. Syd has been wanting to fly fish and show me his home golf course where he grew up and we made a day of it.

We played golf at the Ansel Hoffman golf course. It is a city course, but in great condition. We started in 85 degrees and ended the round in 100! It was hot. But every few holes they have water fill stations and there are lots of tree for shade (and for hitting your ball into), so it made the heat more tolerable. 

After we played Syd ran and jumped in the river.

 I was unsure about going in and floating, but Syd convinced me because he said it wasn’t very deep. I felt much more comfortable knowing I could stand up if I wanted to in the current. 

I am very proud of myself for doing it!

We drove home this evening so we could feed Arthur. It is much cooler here at 63 degrees. 

Back in Ballhalla

​The Valkyries had a 5 game road trip while we were on vacation and they are on a 9 game win streak! It was exciting to be back in Ballhalla to watch the team tonight. It was Native American Heritage Night and some local groups did a pre-game and half time dancing. The Valkyries do a great job of honoring the diversity of the Bay Area!

Jet Lagged Golf

​Oh man, the jet lag from the 19 hour time difference is rough! We needed to stay awake and not nap today so we played golf. I hit some good ones and some bad ones, but it was just nice to be out on the course. Hoping for 8 normal hours of sleep tonight!

We Are Home!

​After a 10 hour flight, we are home! So happy to see Arthur and enjoy our comforts in Moss Beach. My plan is to hide from responsibility for a few more days and extend my vacation through the week because jet lag is real.

​We had a great trip! We are headed to the airport soon. I can’t wait to see Arthur!
